The Race to the Moon


I found inspiration for this week's Spoonflower Design Challenge in the race to the moon during the 1960's. I keep hearing President Kennedy's speech over and over again in my head particularly this line "We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard." My design features my illustration style of whimsical rockets and astronauts, as well as more graphic depictions of the Saturn V rocket and its service module. I couldn't help being a little weird and adding in some flower power too. I love this weird mix of space, rockets, and florals.
