Playing Catch Up
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind, and I haven't taken the time to post some of our newest pattern designs and artwork available at our print on demand sites: Society6, Redbubble, and Casetify. Starting with this week's submission to Spoonflower's Design Challenge for this week. Inspired by my healthcare friends, including my own mom, this pattern represents the warm feeling that they bring to their job and care for each patient.
For World Giraffe Day on June 21st I developed a modification to my giraffe illustration from last year. Now primarily black and gold these giraffes are a bold new addition to my portfolio. Inspired by some classic African patterns that I found this new giraffe pattern is a little more versatile than last year's. I love to see my personal growth from last year, and my advancement into pattern making.
"Busy Traffic Patterns" was an illustration originally inspired by my son, who loves all things with wheels. He is obsessed and one day he asked me to draw him a truck. I just started drawing these wonky and boxy vehicles and looked like it would make a fun pattern in primary colors. Spoonflower had a contest a few weeks ago, and I submitted this fun pattern for that challenge.
"Bauhaus Inspired" is just as the name implies. This is a graphic pattern inspired by the Bauhaus movement. A very different approach than I normally engage in, but it was enjoyable to try something new.
