Christmas on My Mind

Jumping right from Halloween to Christmas flowers this week. These bright colors remind me of Polish Christmas books that my parents had at home when I was growing up. The black may not be exactly traditional, but it does remind me of my childhood and lots of fond memories.

It's a Pumpkin Party!

I loooooove Halloween, and I start decorating in September just so I can get the most joy from my holiday decorations as possible. Spoonflower asked designers to work on a Halloween Embroidery pattern this week and it was a lot of fun to make pumpkin, bat, ghost, candy corn, and skull sketches. I went with a few of my favorite sketches into a fun pattern with lots of dashed swirls make this a tight and busy pattern.

Llamas in Space

Llamas are such fun whimsical creatures to illustrate and are just a little more fun in space suits floating among the planets and stars. Ever since I was a kid I would lay back and look to the stars and imagine what it would be like to be out there and travel between the planets and stars. How beautifully magical it always seemed to me.
